Greetings and Welcome,

Whether you are new to Simi Valley or just looking to join a Scout Troop we encourage you to browse our website then contact us.

In order for a boy to join the Boy Scouts of America he must be between 11 and 17 years old.  Additionally, 10 year olds that have complete the 5th grade or have received the Cub Scouts, Arrow of Light Award are eligible.  We strongly encourage younger boys to join one of the Cub Scout Packs in Simi Valley.

Our Troop meets on Mondays at 7:00pm at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church 4191 Cochran Street, Simi Valley, CA (map).

While we believe in strong oversight by well trained adult leaders, our troop is run by the boys, for the boys. 

Our adult and Boy Scout leaders serve as positive role models towards the overall goal of character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness.

Almost immediately, new boys are given some role in the leadership and planning for their patrols.  This method gives the scouts experience in group living and participating citizenship. It places responsibility on young shoulders and teaches boys how to accept it.

Boy Scouting is designed to take place outdoors and our Troop is an excellent example.  Monthly, outings are determined by the boys and our dedicated team of adult leaders help make it all happen.
